Pros & Cons

Pros

Reusable awesome quality, reusable filter. The fellow prismo attachment allows the coffee grinds to stay in the aero press with the hot water as long as you want for a bolder richer flavor.

It's not actually espresso, but it definitely scratches the itch. The cortado is my espresso drink of choice, and in the summers i like to drop it all into a cocktail shaker and sip it from an old-fashion glass.

Well over a thousand uses for sure. Never an issue with leaking.

Just rest on your coffee mug and pour in the grounds and hot water. This is a big advantage for me, i have an instant hot water dispenser on my kitchen sink.

Cons

First and foremost, it's extremely difficult to put on my aeropress. Its seal seems to have deteriorated, so the coffee starts dripping through immediately when the water is poured in. This gadget ruins all that is fabulous about the aeropress!

Quality

This product fits perfectly and is really well made

I love the espressolike flavor the ease of use and not needing to brew upside down or double up on filters to avoid leakage

After about 2 years of continuous nearly daily use its no longer holding its seal which is a bummer

The system does not start dripping once the water is poured in as is the case with the paper filter

Price

It seems pricy but since ill use it with every brew i dont really mind

Worth the price for the convenience and ease of use

This combo was 25 when i bought it and it looked like a bargain

Aeropress is selling their attachment and permanent filter for 25 and 15 each

Competitiveness

It is much easier to clean compared to the mason jar and reusable filter method

There are other similar and cheaper aftermarket products but after reading the reviews i decided to go with the prismo and don’t regret it

I cant tell the difference between this prismoaeropress coffee and coffee from my bialetti 1 cup moka express
