It is important to note that fast charging only occurs when you hook it up to a fast charge power block
Just make sure you use the fast charging plug that came with your phone otherwise it will not fast charge

Update months after buying this and coming to the assumption that it was a faulty charger because it didnt fast charge with the standard samsung fast charger i tried it out with a non samsung fast charger and different wire to find out that it infact is a fast charger but due to some incompatibility within the charger and the wireless charger this does not work with the standard samsung issue fast charger

As long as you have a quick charge wallcar adapter youll get the quick charge notification on your phone

It doesnt charge as fast as samsung but as a second wireless adapter it does the job well
