Didnt work at first then i reread the instructions and found that if you overfill the unit it will not operate

It is strongly suggested that you use distilled water for your machine or it may not function properly

They tell you not to add essential oils or vaporizer medicines to this humidifier because it can cause it to clog up and cause your machine to malfunction or stop working altogether

Turns itself off when the water runs too low

However i just picked it up and dropped in down on the table full of water and all from a height of a few inches several times and eventually the noise stopped completely

Update the noise came back when i dropped something near the humidifier

I was able to fix it again but apparently its temperamental
