Ive been trying to get an early 2009 mac mini to behave with an older 720pish actually 1366 x 768 thus the problem i suspect panasonic 50 plasma tv and running into the same issue

Also it would be nice if there was a power switch or maybe if it turned on or off depending on the detection of an active signal so its not just sitting there running all the time and throwing color bars at the tv while that blinding led indicator lamp keeps on glowing

Sure you could plug and unplug it but that seems rather annoying

I bought this to go along with my dreamcast vga adapter so i could play dreamcast games in hd and record them on my elgato hd capture card which doesnt have a vga input

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

After plugging in all of the cables and turning on the dreamcast i noticed a great jump in picture quality along with fixing a problem with the picture not filling the screen properly

I ordered it to be able to plug in my xp computer that does not have builtin hdmi to see home movies on the new tvs
