The sensor light has to be plugged into the power adapter if you attach a nonsensor light to the power adapter those lights will stay on all the time even when you wave under the sensor

Any lights from the sensor on will react to your actions

You have to get your hand or some other object pretty close to the sensor for this to happen but it can happen
