This is the second epicurean cutting board i've purchased. We have a small brown board like this one and it hasn't shown any signs of disintegrating. The claims of eco-friendliness and bacteria resistance are true.
This size (18 x 13) lets me put it over one basin of my kitchen double basin sink. It's different than your normal plastic or wood board in that it is a very hard surface that creates a louder clacking sound.
It still fits in the dishwasher very nicely. Does not seem to be dulling my knife blade any. Once i learned to stop trying to be paul bunyan, that knife has stayed sharp for months.
Cons
Epicurean cutting board is just as good terrible) as a cheap plastic one. This is, uh, not knife friendly. I had a bamboo board for 5+ yrs, it has lots of knife mark but not one so deep that exposed the inner part of the wood. This board smells terrib... Read More

Excellent cutting board that takes a few days to get used to.
It is slippery and moves easily on our stone counter tops, we use a damp paper towel under it and no movements.
It stays flat even after being washed on its side in the bottom rack of our dishwasher.
