I was also told that the protective seal may come loose and when you unscrew it the first time it will come off and appear to be unsealed that is the reason they put the plastic ring around it

The reason being they use a food quality safe adhesive that can come unglued

I was told that it is still safe to consume as long as the outer plastic ringseal has not been broken in addition to the interior one
