Based on my realization that novik rarely does anything for trivial reasons i wonder and this is purely a guess not a spoiler whether the later books will return to the subject of and treatment of elephants

My 15 year old son and i picked up naomi noviks newest book league of dragons but when we saw that there were 6 others before it we ordered the first in the temeraire series in the service of the king
