We had a small problem hooking it up, i suggest buying the fitting shown with the range when you order it, then you should be ok.

We had to search high and low for an adapter that would fit the metric sizing of the gas/propane adapter as well convert it to a us standard fitting so we could hook it up.

It won't off-gas unless it's ignited and it's sturdy.
