Pros
Emotiva speakers use a thin film that is driven by magnets or sometimes electrostatic charges. The advantage is the diaphragm creating the sound has far less mass that a conventional voice coil - cone design. Great value. Fills the entire apartment.
They are surprisingly neutral, with pretty solis bass for their size. They are near field monitors, as which they really shine. Playback and file management is handled by an app called roon.
The sq is wonderful at throwing both a wide and deep soundstage. Percussive sounds like drums, triangles, cymbals all sound natural and never muted or overblown. This system is the closest i have heard to actually sounding like a real saxophone.
The fit and finish are close to perfection. Dynamics are spectacular in both micro and macro dynamics. Adjustments are great to have for nearfield idiosyncrasies.
