To power the camera instead of splicing into the reversing light wiring i tapped into my license plate light so that the camera would work anytime that my headlights were on

As well since i normally like to keep the rear curtain of my rv shut the camera serves dual purpose as my rearview mirror but only when i switch on the headlamps
