I intended to mount this on the bottom drawer of my nightstand, i didn’t even attempt to mount it on the top drawer.

So, i had to modify it a bit to make it work for me.

First, i mounted the battery box on the inside of the drawer making sure to mount it as high as i could get it but still clear the horizontal drawer support beam that separates the top and bottom drawer so the drawer would still close.

Second, i screw it in, single screw worked ok, it was braced against the side of the drawer.

With the drawer closed (and the locking loop in the battery box) i could see how far back the locking loop was going to have to be mounted on my wood support 1x1.

I then held the support and locking loop with one hand while i open the drawer with the card.

I marked inside the drawer where the support was.

I flipped it over and screwed it in exactly where it was.
