I have had elago products in the past and have never had a problem with the color fading or scratching away
Its pretty durable wellmade and enjoyable enough when taking a looooot of notes on my ipad
My present one is made by elago designs
Regarding the old elago hexa stylus that broke i recommend strongly that you make sure that you can use the replacement tip

It is a great idea especially including an extrabut 4 for a replacement on a 13 item seems steep and probably not worth it
