2nd time buyer and i love love love this product
Dont get me wrong the kids love it and had tons of fun with the book and pen
After the science experiments were done the girls still wanted to play and learn with the blacklight
Shes had so much fun playing with the black light
Packaging/appearance
Another small but important plus was the packaging
Bummer that the flowers in the booklet the one that glows under black light was out of season i knew i had it in the backyard
Competitiveness
Love all of nancy bs science products
Has a nice amount of experiments in the book for the price as well
Some of the experiments were a little above him as a 5yr old but he’ll be able to understand them in years to come recommended age was 8

Also because the light it really bright the objects being examined all lit up in some way and sometimes it wasnt clear which items were merely reflecting the light

The light does not come with batteries though which is my only complaint as i had to scour the house for extra ones before they were ready to play

In all i think that my kids played with this toy for about 3 hours

Then they got more inventive and sillier going outside of the box and testing different items not listed in the instructions to see the result

She sat in a dark room to find out which glowed but there were only a few that showed up orange instead of the black light purple color
