Ball is your standard rubber outdoor ball so i advise not leaving it outside or in the pool all summer long it holds air well no knots and not misshaped in anyway

One thing the instructions should say is to actually tighten the screws tightly against the washers

We had to tighten it every time we used it when it was set up per their instructions

Once i tightened the screws into the washer a bit more it hasnt moved since

I actually had purchased this basketball hoop on walmarts website because it was cheaper at the time
