The insoles are foam-backed paper, ultra thin, and about as durable as you'd expect from that description. Maybe the sizing is different for boots.

Multiple times went a foot deep in mud i didn’t notice and not a drop made it to my feet only way water is getting in is if you pass the threshold or your pants get so soaked they don’t absorb anymore and it trickles down from the top
