My previous aluminium lanterns became unsightly because they corroded and the paint fell off.

They were impossible to take apart and repaint because the screws holding the lantern together had also corroded and were seized in the body of the lantern.

Clever double hanging gadget, plastic but looks like metal, does the job fine i'll definitly get another one when the window installer knocks this one off with his ladder lol.
