The belt and idler pulley were an exact fit however for my particular samsung dryer the drum bushings had different threads than the bushings on my dryer coarse vs fine or metric vs standard and the new ones didn’t come with attaching nuts of their own so they went unused mine were fine and my schedule didn’t allow the time to go find attaching nuts that matched the threads

I researched a few things including my warranty and realized i’m most likely on my own

I narrowed it down to my idler puller wheel had become lose and was starting to wear out and wiggle during motion which caused the sound

I was able to access the idler puller through the back of the dryer removed the belt from it remove just one screw and used the existing idler spring to put the new one back on
