Another con is that lighting candles in jars are somewhat difficult because there is enough clearance to clear the mouth of the jar when trying to get the wick to reach the electron beam

In place that prevent the lighter from turning on when the clip is closed because she was worried items in her bag would push the button and electrify her or simply deplete the battery completely but that simply is not the case
