The lid goes on easily and doesnt require screwing on or fine alignment like so many coffee mug lids which can be hard for a person with limited range of movement in one hand

the lid and the light weight are most important for our purposes as we bought it to allow a person with a weakened left side and who walks with a cane to carry her coffee left handed from room to room without spilling
