It’s actually better than if they held with an iron grip because it doesn’t automatically release when you turn off the car but it automatically opens when you turn on the car or put your hand in front of a sensor

That’s my main gripe with it… i know that they are trying to be cute and hightech with their automatic opening device but in practice i end up almost dropping my phone a bunch of times because i’m just touching it for gps or something and accidentally triggering it to open

I think it should have an automatic open but it doesn’t need an automatic close because you can just move the arms manually as mentioned it’s just a thin plastic holding it in place… although it is enough to hold it in place for bumpy car ride fortunately
