The ethernet method worked exactly as you would expect plugged the camera into my router powered on waited a few minutes then did the lan search feature in the app and it was found and setup

I thought it failed because it said to try again in 510 seconds however it turns out its just bad programming and it worked but gave the message anyway

I believe if you watch the led lights on the base of the units they change how they flash once its connected to wifi

The camera is very quite operating which is great and the field of view it can cover means you should be able to cover most standard home rooms with only one camera easily
