The bad:- it stinks that you have to install a specific driver that might not be cross compatible with other nodemcu/esp8266 boards.

But i understand that it is necessary to be able to communicate via serial over microusb.

I can't really count this against the product itself as i did not follow the directions and it probably was a problem on my end.

The instructions alone are easily worth double the price in my opinion (worth ~$50), since it takes you from nothing to fully able to write code and flash the chip and display content on the oled screen.

The guide is very thorough and easy to understand, pointing the user to freely available software that is compatible with the parts.
