    Tried chromecast but that relies on having a constant wireless connection but the network in work would never allow that.

    The vcastdoesn't rely on an internet connection so i can stay connected to any ssid i like on my phone while mirroring the screen.

    If you have a tv with an hdmi imput and a computer/tablet/phone with widi, miramax or a number of wireless based programs, you can view the screen content of those devices on your television.
