This is probably the easiest to understand math textbook i've ever read. Engaging, lucid treatment of discrete maths. She has a fondness for fun word puzzles that are more alice and wonderland than trains.

This book explains everything in a very detailed, methodical manner. However, the explanations are quite lucid and easy to understand. The use of illustration is well-considered and helpful. Good examples and good charts.

A disgusted mathematics professor. It is one of the worst textbooks i have ever encountered. I'm amazed by other reviewers who say this book is clear or easy to understand.

There is no expectation or opportunity for the student to practice any kind of extrapolation from the simplest examples or original thought of any kind. Lacks examples, and consistency.

Barring that, this book is just one big super-expensive paper-weight. Would not recommend.
