The wall charger glows red when charging and turns green when charged

To change the beam from steady to flashing or sos you press the onoff button briefly until the light flickers or press it right off then immediately back on

The yellow rechargeable battery was not only plastic wrapped but also inside a protective plastic tube and inside the torch was a holder for it to accept 3x aaa sized batteries should you so require

The charing hole on the torch is hidden and is revealed by sliding the focussing lens to it’s forward position
