Rj45 connectors maintain a tight fit in this coupler, didn't have any issues with losing connectivity with the contacts in the coupler.
These may have improved signal transmission from my router to my dvr, as video freezes had with a cheaper quality cat5 coupler.
Looks very sturdy and rigid quality, i plugged m ip camera cable into this to extend it and works, no issues at all.

I had a ethernet device connect in the garage and i had to use a rj45 coupler to extend the distance and off course is going via the attic, so every time the temperature dropped(winter) the cheap connector i was using before fails.

It was a frustrating conditions, as soon as i put the ding rj45 coupler, problem is gone.
