This is the fastest cutting and longest lasting step bit we've used in our shop. Sharp is the hardest thing to find. It cuts off nice big shavings.

Do yourselves a favor and buy the original irwins. They sell the accessories that cost over $50 and give out only 90 days warranty? The accessories that sells way less than that on amazon even give out lifetime warranty.

    Took me a while to cough up the cash for a drill bit

    I have been using the cheap 12 bits and after one tip broke in the hole and jammed itself inside i gave up

    I also decided to test the cheap version on the steel i drilled in 3 seconds with the dewalt bit figuring it will take the cheap one a full minute

    I am kind scared to start all my holes with it so sometimes i use another cheap drill bit to start a pilot hole and let this step bit rip through the rest
