Used 3 or 4 times and just missed my return window. Dewalt has yet to respond and are a pain to try to figure out how to deal with. The only way the charger will work is if i put pressure down on the end of the battery.
It's sad that such a large company like dewalt would let hundreds or thousands of duds into the market without nay sort of recall!

Quality
Makes about 40-50 cuts with the chainsaw (4”-5” cuts , oak & pecan) and lasts about 45 mins with the blower.
Overall i am pleased with this purchase.
Can't fail with this line of product.

I was highly suspicious of the price, considering these are double the cost at home depot.

This is a quality battery but was packed by amazon with no protection packaging.

The cells were different (red lg he2 cells in this battery vs green sony/murata cells in the genuine) but otherwise they were identical.

In winter if you try to charge the battery right after it is delivered it may be cold and refuse to charge.

In fact, there is a safety circuit that prevents charging when the battery is too cold/hot.
