Cons

Millard implies that wild bill hickock was the only lawman in the west. My first problem w/kindle in over 2 mos. I'll see if someone who writes well will come along and do a better job.

    While reading the book i noticed that there were a lot of quotes from all the players and a lot of documents mostly newspaper and journal articles referenced but no footnotes

    For a history book that seemed really odd to me and i was prepared to give the book three stars for that alone just because thats not very good scholarship

    It seems that whomever put the kindle version together and uploaded it to amazon stripped out the footnotes within the text

    Thats something that should be fixed in the next edition if there is one
