    The downsides are the handle, given how small the rounded hand held part is it is quite difficult to cut certain things as they simply don't fit inside of it.

    One thing that i noticed is that you have to move it back every couple of slices otherwise whatever your slicing becomes lodged between this device and your cutting surface.

    The only issue we've noticed is that the nails in the protector hand grip have loosened or entirely fallen out over time, so now we're down to just two nails holding our fruit/veggie in place.
