Pros
The drive and usb a to micro a cable work fine as a dvd player. Worked immediately when plugged into my dell xps. Compatible with my latest dell inspiron 16 5630 laptop. Instantly recognized in windows 10.
It's light, noiseless and easy to use. It's very compact and lightweight so it's easy to store. It takes up minimal space and is incredibly easy touse.
Clive barker's jericho. No fuss, no muss. No nonsense. No quirky or inconsistent behavior.
Cons
Seller wants 50% to restock because box was opened. Tried calling dell. Just warranty sales. Complete scam.

I'm done returning these dang disk drives. It plays a video for the upgrade perfectly but nothing else.

Quality
Works well and easy to use well made
Great removable device plays dvds and writes cd dvds easily
Unfortunately it quit working after less than six months so i bought this one
Had to return an off brand external drive because it stopped working after playing one cd
Price
I searched on line and found this dell product that was a little pricey but nevertheless met my needs
Went with dell for a few more bucks and no problems
And it was only 10 more than the one i sent back
One game that cant be found on stores unleas you buy it online by a ridiculously big price

The software loaded quickly and the drive does what it is supposed to do
I got a prompt reply that it doesnt come with the cd but i havent tried getting the software yet
Packaging/appearance
Finally mine came in the plain cardboard oem box shown when any videos showed retail packaging
Out of the box connected to the laptop was able to read the old cds
Competitiveness
No doubt technology has changed massively over the years and people now save to the cloud as opposed to disks
What else can i say dell is a globally trusted brand
Most cost less than the dell and most performed much slower

I got a new game desktop and completely forgot to ad a cd writer so had to buy an external one
