The Deli s681 is great pen for beginners.Quality...I tested all three pens and found no variance in any of them, so thumbs up for manufacturing and quality control. The finish on the pens may not last very long if you put in a purse or bag with other metal items rubbing against them, now this is the same for any pen but the coating on these seems a bit thin in my opinion... If you like to keep your pens pristine then put them a single pen sleeve or pouch.Functionality...The cap snaps off and can be posted securely. The nib section where you hold the pen is flared and ribbed this is the thinnest part of the pen. The pen is thin and can be an issue for people with big hands like me but found the pen to be comfortable to hold even in long writing sessions. For dimensions (see notes). The pens write smoothly with very little feedback if any. There are no visible marking on the hooded nib but from the way it writes I believe it to be medium nib. Depending on the paper you use (cheap copy paper) you will see some bleed thru since the pen writes pretty wet (has very good ink flow). The pens come only with slide converters (no ink or cartridges). The converter works well enough but for beginner’s cartridges would be better suited. It will accept standard short or long cartridges (see notes).Value...Price wise this is a bargain, you get three pens for what you normally pay for one. If one breaks or starts to leak for any reason you have two more as backups. Parts are all interchangeable so you can mix and match colors by swapping caps or barrels (if that’s your thing).Overall a nice looking inexpensive pen that works really well and would recommend.Notes:• Pen dimensions (rounded off to nearest mm or fraction of an inch) o Length capped 134 mm or 5-1/4 inches o Length uncapped 123 mm or 4-7/8 inches o Length posted 146 mm or 5-3/4 inches o Diameter thickest barrel point 9 mm or 3/8 inches o Nib section thinnest point 7 mm or 9/32 inches• I did not have any long cartridges to test but looking at the barrel depth of the pen it shouldn't be a problem.   Read Less
