That is true of pretty much all products with motion detection though.

The sensor is set on high sensitivity but only reacts about 10 ft from the house.

They run dim until something is detected and then they get daylight bright.

You have to be pretty near it to do so (cannot turn off from bedroom) but that is a limitation of bluetooth, not this device.

The special mounting plate makes hanging wiring these lights after wiring them very easy.
