    I then secured the anchor in the ground at roughly a 45 degree angle by inserting a 1 x 12 dowel into the eyelet at the top and twisting clockwise until only a couple of inches below the eyelet remained above ground.

    I then tied the other end of the strap before securing it to the anchor to match the one on the tree and cinched it tight to the first simple knot leaving a loop at the end of the strap.

    Had to use a crowbar, and even then, they didn't go all the way down.
