I became obsessively engrossed. This series is a good reason to get a kindle, because it really is so addictive that one has problems waiting for a physical paperback to be delivered.



Cons

The writing is passable, but there isn't much direction in the overarching plot so it moves forward a bit drunkenly. This reads like a first book from an author who doesn't edit.

What passes for humor is an endless bit where the characters use bizarro cuss phrases. The problem with profanity is not its existence - here the main problem is that the insults are grossly homophobic.
