The unit is nowhere close to being a gimmick and because it does what it says it will do cool the room its in it is certainly not a fake ac

The only issue i have with this unit is that because its been discontinued replacement parts are difficult to obtain

I purchased this item at a liquidation store and the exhaust hose hose connectors hose adapters window bracket and remote control were not included with the unit

That said this unit typically comes with the venting kit so there shouldnt be a problem as there are places apart from amazon
