It works exactly as advertised, but be aware that you will likely have to buy a drill bit as it doesn't come with one. Worked great on oak dowel and maple board.

Packaging/appearance

Also the cutting bit is set way too deep as it comes out of the box

Sidenote i didnt soak the rod just used mineral oil as lubricant
