It's good for close and intricate sewing which she has a lot of. Not the strongest construction, but fine if handled with a bit of care. Ideal for threading needles and doing fine needle type work.
Perfect lamp for crafting, sewing and writing. It has a very bright bulb and the lens is clear and relatively distortion free.

This is a great light i sew on small fabric and the extra light really helps base is good size and fits where i need it only 4 because i was really hoping the magnifying glass would have been larger

The lens cover is a great idea good too it should keep dust off of the lens and because the lampmagnifier is to be used in front of a window should protect against the possible fire hazard should the sun be streaming through the window
