Pros

I’ll be honest – it is a little heavier than i expected, but i chalk that up to good construction. It's heavier than most compact umbrellas, but that goes with the sturdiness. It fits perfectly into my briefcase, and would easily fit in a carry-on bag...  Read More

The davek umbrella is strong, wind resistant and has excellent functionality. Stitching is strong. It feels solid when in use and the wind has never flipped it inside out.

The open and close button operates smoothly and quickly. The spring is strong so you have to put a little muscle yo close it all the way. The umbrellas spring open with a strong, satisfying snap, and they are sturdy and solid.

These are the best for downtown chicago’s windiest and rainiest days. It's been used in several torrential rainstorms and totally holds up. Our legs were drenched from horizontal rain but the umbrellas did great.

I have two of the davek solos purchased a couple of years ago. My new davek is the swiss watch of umbrellas.

Cons

There is a lifetime warranty, but you have to pay for shipping plus an additional $10 for return shipping. The umbrella opens when you depress the button and it closes when you depressed the button again.

Price

While i consider this an expensive umbrella its seems to be worth every penny

Also it comes with a 50 off discount code so in case you lost it you can buy another one 50 off

Is it so much better than the next one because of the price tag

Its a little more expensive but it seems to be worth it

Competitiveness

This was rated the best overall option in a digital trends list

My family owns three and we will never buy another brand of umbrella

However the design of its grip while looking great is really bad as there is really no way to hold it in your hand comfortably either the metal clip or the strap are in your way and feeling bulky in your hand
