Ive seen this reel before buying it so i knew the quality

Amazing reel i have the 4000a as well but the spool size is nicer on the 4012

I have though paired it up with a daiwa ninja 10ft feeder rod and the balance is absolutely perfect

I use it for all types of freshwater fishing and it handled everything i have caught up to 20lb carp with ease despite its small size
