This camera can cause frustrations when one is not educated enough about ip settings gateway and many other technicalities including isp service requirements to be able to program the camera for browser viewing and knowing how to ping your windows xp system to track the wireless progress of settings made

Even that person and his colleague arrived and spent 3 hours to make everything work and the isp internet service provider had to change the account to a bridged account with a stationary ip assigned

Its a fabulous camera when a friend can set it up for you at that very reasonable price and more cameras could be added

I happen to have a dlink di524 wireless router for my network not that it probably matters much and simply plugged the camera into an open ethernet port

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I discovered that the camera was assigned an ip address by accessing the router typed the ip address of the router into a web browser and then clicked on the dhcp button

At the bottom of the page is a list of all the devices on the network

Then i copied the ip address of the dcsg900 into the web browser and by golly there was the camera
