The fifth port is tied to the dsl modem

It does have five ports plus the uplink port however if the uplink port is used one of the other ports wil be disabled making only four ports useful

Connecting via the swicth for internet sharing doesnt show any noticeable slowresponse as compared to connecting via the router directly
