I picked up this camera to replace an older linksys camera that had weak wireless security

The intructions assume you use the installation software to help configure the camera

You may need to disable your wireless network in order to allow you to see the camera

If you use the software you can configure all the network settings to match that of your wireless router

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I had to power it offon in order for the settings to seem to take hold

I then disabled the camera network and reenabled the wireless connected to the router and configured the device there with dhcp and an assigned ip address so the router will always assign the same ip to it every time

Then i set up the port forwarding so the router sends traffic coming in to it on to the camera at that port

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I use dyndns so anything coming in using the camera port gets forwarded on to the camera
