The torx screws prevent poachers from removing the screws and stealing the camera mount since common tools wont do the job

I believe there are commercial versions of a similar locking mechanism available built for this mount that will do the same thing

All you have to do is attach the mount base perfectly vertical so your pictures will not be skewedtilted left or right

The slot that the camera studs slide into fit my cameras perfectly

You can mount your cam on your tree stand or tripod or an outbuilding and aim it directly where you want to see whats going on
