Pros

Great value, great product and amazon is the best. Btw, i'm 83 years old, so that proves how easy it is to do! It works fast without any hiccups. That says a lot for crucial!

Excellent product and runs much cooler than crucial 2 tb ssd. The only peccadillo is that, to backup, i have to make sure a seagate or samsung drive is connected.

Cons

This laptop is properly shutdown and generally fully charged before turned off. First failure was a problem with the partitioning on my existing hdd. Update july second failure. Drive is dead, had to put the old slow hd back in that worked fine. Hdd, ... Read More

These drives are liable to fail after only a few months of light use. Only used as a backup so no excessive use. Used it lightly and failed.

I rate them against the number 1 ssd manufacturer samsung

The mx500 is suppose to be the superior product

I am a huge fan of crucial ssds just like i am a huge fan of western digital and seagate for mechanical hard drives
