I got these refurbished and they work great i assume a lot get set back to the manufacture cause bluetooth can be a pita to get working and people assume it is defectivei have always used cheap speakers lt10 and have never noticed any issues with them so you know i am no audiophilei needed to get some speakers with a built in volume control and seeing as how i got this for my mom who dislikes cheap speakers i cant understand whyshe was impressed with how loud they are for there sizewhere i work we have a set of the nonwireless version of these so i know they get very loud you can easily hear it on the other side of the wherehouse at about 75now seeing as how i plan to use this with a raspberry pi a to replace my moms antique radio wireless version of these were cheapergiven a raspberry pi does not have a very high end audio chip there is no point to my understanding in getting super high end speakers to my understandinggoing in i had no expectation of bluetooth actually working but it did work took a minute to get it to show up thoughusing xubuntu 16

You would have to get power to the second speaker somehowthe cable that connects the 2 speakers is about 5ft the volume control is on the right speakerthere is only 1 con that i can find it does not come with a short 2
