Your pc will send the audio to the monitor via hdmi and your monitor will output that audio to the soundbar

This does the job well fits nicely under my monitor was easy to set up and has a stable bluethooth connection

Some of the other reviews ive seen appear to come from people who were expecting this to be the right soundbar to blast out some loud bassheavy music
