This is a good reminder and a good refresher. I was tested at the end of every chapter, and was forced to ask myself questions about my characters. This and the associated workbook are my go-tos.

Km weiland's creating character arcs focuses on the three types of character positive, flat, and negative. Each section explains the basic plot points of the 3 act structure, but from the perspective of the character arc.

Weiland is superb when it comes to insight, clarity, and brevity. Weiland goes straight to the point of creating character arcs, which is great for my shortened attention span haha.

Her voice isn't critical to appreciate the knowledge and experience conveyed in this book. She teaches a path to a story people will read. With the many examples she gives using both popular books & movies, they're easy to understand.

It's full of generalities. Skip the fluff. I want people to tell their stories but not to be distracted.
