Pros
Each pedal comes with small studs that screw into the pedal with an allen wrench. The actual spindle uses an 8mm alan key to mount rather than a 9/19 wrench which is great. One drawback is that the pegs are sharp!
Solid, no nonsense, performs well and works great for my on road and off road travels. Polycarbonate material appears extremely durable and the nicely machined aluminum makes a great combination. Good quality at a fair price.
Cons
When they work, they're great pedals. Greasy mess. Arrived with a connector screw broken and sticking out of the pedal upside down as if it were shipped that way.

In the picture the color is perfectly matched to the red on my bike but when i received them they really are more anodized garnet looking
Competitiveness
I had tried other pedals but these are by far the best
Bottom line they should be considered when looking at new pedals even if they are a little more money then the competitors
Also crank brothers sells rebuild kits for these if your a serious rider

Got it and installed them in like ten minutes i didnt buy a pedal wrench and i busted my hand trying to get the right side pedal out so maybe a proper pedal wrench is worth it

I used them lots of times after switching from clips and i already got used to them and they are pretty wide so my feet didnt slip off yet

The material looks pretty heavy duty and i think they will last a long time you can adjust the spikes or little knobs but i didnt have to and left them how they came not too aggressive also they didnt scratch my shins yet and i rubbed on them a few times not too hard like falling etc

Tough pedals with good grip that wont rip up your calves if you happen to scrape one along the face of your pedal

I finally got out on the trails for two days and have to say my feet stuck to these pedals like glue

I read another person mentioning that if you wear flat shoes that helps also so lucky for me i had a old pair of sneakers that had very little tread left so i have been using those

If your foot comes off the pedals and your leg rubs against the pedal you will get bitten and you will bleed
